Twenty-Five years later “We Are The World”

Twenty-Five years ago in a studio in Hollywood, California some of Americas top musical artists recorded a charity single called “We are the World” for Africa. The song was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and produced by Quincy Jones and Michael Omartian. It included musical stars such as Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Ray Charles and so many more. Now 25 years later with the Earthquake in Haiti Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones have teamed up again to bring a new version of “We Are The World.” Like its predecessor it was recorded in the same studio and includes an all star line-up of musicians and now it even has a rap verse.
